Masterpiece 2014

For the fifth time Masterpiece London returns as the main event at the heart of London’s summer art season. Famous for featuring museum-quality art, antiques, design and jewellery that is gathered from around the world and throughout history, the fair is visited by thousands of art connoisseurs and collectors from various countries.

26th of June is the first day of Masterpiece public opening. If you are planning to visit the fair make sure to visit the stands of such contemporary and historic jewellery masters as Hemmerle, Grima, BOGH-ART, Suzanne Syz, Theo Fennel, Hancocks, Symbolic&Chase and Siegelson. Each jeweller will bring a spectacular selection of contemporary or vintage pieces that embody beautiful design and technical excellence.

I am particular excited to see jewellery of a Masterpiece new participant – Grima. It is a family business that was founded by Andrew Grima in the 60s. Now it is run by his wife Jojo and their daughter Francesca who together continue creating highly original jewels. At Grima they prepared something special for Masterpiece – a new colourful necklace made with over 150 gemstones among which are diamonds, amethysts, tourmalines and aquamarines.

Each exhibitor will have something special on display, so to whet your appetite I put together a small preview of spectacular jewellery that you will have a chance to view and purchase at Masterpiece 2014 fair in London.

Masterpiece London runs from 26 June to the 2 July (preview 25 June) at the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London, SW3 4SR.
