The first jeweler on Place Vendôme, Boucheron has embodied excellence in jewellery, high jewellery and watchmaking for more than 155 years. Each collection draws from the history and the values of the Maison, celebrating a modern prowess that is constantly reinvented.

Frédéric Boucheron opened his first boutique in 1858 in the Galerie de Valois under the arcades of the Palais Royal which at that time was the center of the Parisian luxury trade. In 1866, the Maison Boucheron created its workshop, and one year later was awarded a gold medal for the innovative spirit of jewellery at the Universal Exhibition in Paris.

In 1893, the Maison Boucheron opened its doors at 26 Place Vendôme and installed its workshop. Frédéric Boucheron shared the premises with the Countess of Castiglione who lived on the mezzanine. Four years later, in 1897 the Maison opened its first boutique in Moscow and in 1911 transferred to Saint Petersburg (the Moscow boutique was reopened in 2003). Nowadays Boucheron has boutiques in many countries around the world.

Since its creation, the Maison has always been known and renowned for the quality and brilliance of its stones, for the passing on of its « savoir-faire » from generation to generation, for its contact search of innovation and for the true jeweller’s prowess found in its creations.
