Powerful Presence: Unwrapping the Tourbillon Collection by HIMO Jewellery
When was the last time you tried on a piece of jewellery and it made you feel invincible, like you could take on the world? For me, it was relatively recently when I was introduced to the Lebanese brand HIMO Jewellery and its new Tourbillon collection. Each twisting, rope-like wrap of gold can be worn alone or stacked with contrasting hardstone accents to create a real statement look. It’s the type of signature style that feels ageless, with hints of the bohemian 1970s, the abundance of the 1980s, and the contemporary colour palette of the present day. Here, I’d like to tell you a little bit more about HIMO Jewellery, explore its legacy, and share insights into the Tourbillion collection, which is a significant departure from the brand’s more typical, understated style.
HIMO Jewellery were among the many brands I had the pleasure of meeting at Vicenzaoro back in September 2025. I had heard on the bejewelled grapevine at the show that the more than 50-year-old Lebanese business was showcasing a new collection that I should definitely go and see. Of course, curiosity got the better of me, and so I went to take a closer look. As you can probably tell from the photos in this article, I couldn’t get enough of the chunky, stackable charm of the Tourbillion collection, which seems to get better with every layer.
Although my personal palette usually focuses on rose gold and white metals, there’s something so sumptuous about the collection’s use of 18k yellow gold, especially when paired with hardstones like malachite and turquoise. It’s a little bit like stepping back in time, to the glamour of the 1970s, but also feels fresh and relevant to today’s customer who may want to wear one Tourbillion ring in the daytime and add some further necklaces and stacked bracelets for the evening. This is deceptively simple, yet versatile jewellery that elevates the everyday.
Before I explain more, let me tell you a little bit about HIMO Jewellery, which has been crafting fine jewellery since 1972. Today, the brand is based in Lebanon and has 12 locations across the country, as well as in the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Its designs are a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, built upon “a foundation of love, passion and a relentless pursuit of innovation,” according to its mission statement. Prior to this meeting at Vicenzaoro, I had seen the HIMO Eternal collection, which blends 18k white gold, diamonds and marquise-cut canary-coloured fluorite in red carpet-worthy designs.

I had also had conversations about its playful Fireworks collection with diamonds and rubies in Catherine wheels of gold. Rather than focusing on special occasions, the brand really prioritises the day-to-day moments and creating pieces that “can seamlessly become part of one’s lifestyle”. Now that you know the background, let’s return to the Tourbillion collection. This new and surprisingly large suite of jewels includes chokers, necklaces, earrings, hoops, rings and bracelets, all in polished 18k yellow or white gold. Pieces are set with diamonds and accented with coloured stones in shades of deepest brown, black, pink, green, and baby blue.
Personally, I think the malachite iterations are the most effective, especially in torque bracelet form in three different widths. Immediately, upon seeing the collection, I felt a pull to style the choker and the lariat necklace together but quickly got carried away and added bracelets and multiple rings! Although the colours differ (rose quartz, mother of pearl, three shades of turquoise, onyx, and seafoam aquamarine), they all work together in surprising harmony.

Another thing that strikes me about the Tourbillion collection is its compatibility with many different aesthetics. On the brand’s Instagram, for example, you can see the range worn under the spotlight of full Kardashian glamour, complete with bouncy blonde hair and figure-skimming clothing. Its other lifestyle images place the Tourbillion collection in different contexts, such as a minimalistic vibe with slicked back hair and crisp white linens; something more Avant Garde with elaborate clothes in vibrant shades of yellow, and radiating in 18k white gold form against a more whimsical, floral backdrop. Then, there are my own personal images, with a more relaxed-fit shirt in an autumnal shade of orange.
To me, this highlights how flexible and adaptable the collection would be should it end up in your jewellery box. There are no doubt pieces you wear for very specific occasions, but HIMO seems to have found the recipe for a style with universal day-to-night appeal.

Although the highlights of the collection are no doubt the larger pieces, such as the choker and lariat necklace, there are some more subtle Tourbillion necklaces with a smattering of diamonds, too. These are more in keeping with the brand’s other ranges, such as the dainty Cuties collection, the Le Pavé pieces in 18k white gold, and the more classical Fabulous and Lady D collections. In fact, while talking to the brand at Vicenzaoro, we spoke about the importance of “cross-generational appeal” and ensuring that jewels don’t just speak to one age range but feel universally wearable. Upon reflection, I think this is something that HIMO achieves admirably, even with the more dynamic look-and-feel of its Tourbillion collection. Trust me when I say this is far easier said than done.

I am not afraid to admit that, had the Tourbillion collection only been described to me in words, I may have formed an unfair opinion. Chunky, highly polished 18k yellow gold, textured, tipped with hardstones and dusted in diamonds in sinuous, snake-like forms, is not what shines from my jewellery collection, but now I feel it should! HIMO Jewellery has inspired me to find confidence, power and poise in jewellery that benefits from a more-is-more approach to styling. Why wear one bracelet when you can wear five, six or seven? Life is too short not to indulge in precious materials and superior craftsmanship.
