Sensual Silhouettes: Jewels with Curves in All the Right Places
Is it getting hot in here, or is it just us? As jewellers swap sharp lines for shapely swirls, we look at new collections that are embracing the raw power of sensuality inspired by the female form.
The nipped-and-tucked tailoring of this year's MET Gala was a reminder that nothing is sexier than fully embracing one's own curves. And capturing the beauty of the female form in this way seems also to have been on the minds of many jewellery designers of late, as we see the rise of curvaceous, sensual jewellery collections. Designers are embracing voluptuous silhouettes that curve and hug necklines, hands, and wrists. Swathes of gold, splurging and spilling out to create lines that are anything but linear. This could be something as simple as the shape of a bottom-heavy drop earring, like Kinraden's pendulum Doric earrings in polished 18-karat gold, silver, or with stripes of Mpingo blackwood.
