Haute Joaillerie
Originating in ancient Egypt under the Pharaohs and perfected during the Mughal Empire, the ‘Art of Inlay’ requires precision and sophistication. Boghossian has made this ancient technique their signature style by bringing a new approach. Each stone is meticulously carved and shaped, then set directly into the next one to create intriguing contrast and colour. With the absence of metal the stones reveal their tonality and brilliance forming an illusion of one stone.
Carbon Fibre is used in both the jewellery and watch industries but Boghossian found it’s square background with intertwining vertical and horizontal fibres unromantic for its feminine designs. So the house recomposed the material with linear fibres to give a softer and more graceful feel, which Boghossian has interpreted into contemporary rings and bangles. They also combined micro deposits of titanium and fibreglass to create Titanum Fiber – a material that is delicate, translucent and lightweight.
Boghossian’s Haute Joaillerie collection features rare stones, exquisite designs and exceptional craftsmanship. An audacious blend of refinement, magical colour, astonishing contrasts and an uncompromising attention to detail that sometimes only the wearer will be aware of.
