Couture Show 2025: The Top 10 Debutants Heading to Las Vegas
The much anticipated Couture Show will return to Wynn Las Vegas from June 4-8, 2025, shining a spotlight on established design talent, new creatives, and international brands that are vying for attention on the global stage. Just like in previous years, I am focusing my attention on the debutants – the brands and independent designers who will exhibit for the very first time. It must be daunting, even for an experienced company, to arrive at a new event in a foreign country and share their story with the myriad buyers wandering the halls. Fortunately, in my time attending Couture, I have found it to be a friendly and welcoming place that puts talent, creativity and craft on a pedestal… what better place to showcase a unique jewellery point of view?
As someone who attends multiple events per year in countless countries, I can attest to the fact that they each have their own ‘personalities’. Some are more formal and classical, whereas others have a touch of eccentricity and playfulness about them. Personally, I like something in the middle that respects the art and craftsmanship of jewellery without forgetting that it should be fun, engaging and exciting to discover something new. Speaking of discovery, here are the Couture Show debutants who are on my must-visit list this June…

Aponine @aponinejewelry
Created by mother and daughter duo Yasemin and Nisa, Turkish brand Aponine is rooted in their shared passion for vintage jewellery, coloured gemstones and fashionable day-to-night dressing. Its Pebble collection, for example, taps into more unusual colour palettes with burnt orange sapphires and misty green tourmalines, while the Sparks collection gathers loose gemstones in medallion-like lockets for a cool splash of colour (the sunshine crystal mix is especially uplifting). Mixed in with these more statement pieces are hugely wearable and stackable creations, like the Wave and Twirl rings, the Bubbles necklace, and a range of dangling charms with tanzanites, rubies and raw-cut diamonds. Benoi @benoijewels
I was immediately captivated upon hearing Benoi Jewels’ tagline, “Memory Merchants,” which is such a poetic way of expressing jewellery’s powerful sentimental properties. This Indian-Italian brand focuses on the idea of remembering remarkable moments and accessing the past through jewellery that becomes almost like a second skin. Its high jewellery pieces are especially exciting and, in some cases, quite unexpected. I especially love the Waves diamond necklace with its ropes of three-dimensional diamonds that glide through a loop of baguette-cut stones. Elsewhere, the brand uses blued titanium to great effect in its swirling Follow You earrings and a plethora of pear-shaped emeralds and diamonds in its Undress necklace. Seeing these pieces in person feels like an absolute must! Booth No. 842
Maison H Jewels @maisonhjewels
The South African founders of Maison H Jewels embarked on a journey to Dubai in 2001, kickstarting a whole new chapter in their lives and helping to elevate their jewellery vision to what it is today. The brand specialises in both high jewellery and fine jewellery, with some of my personal favourites being the Tube torque-style necklace, crafted in either 18k white or yellow gold and tipped in diamonds. Its latest arrivals include the Disc and the Tous Les Jour collections, both of which put a personality-fuelled twist on everyday accessorising. Booth No. DA-35

BijouQ @bijouq.jewelry
Hailing from the United Arab Emirates, the colourful creativity of BijouQ will be on display for all to see at the Couture Show. The brand is all about quality and workmanship, with pieces offering a touch of heritage while still being suitable for the modern world. Some of its designs are geometrically complex, like the Geomatrica diamond earrings and the Geomatrica Mother of Pearl earrings, which both come under the brand’s High Jewellery umbrella. Across its fine jewellery collections, the Edenia choker necklace is a personal favourite, especially when dusted with marquise-shaped and round brilliant-cut pink sapphires. Plus, the Italian flavour that underpins the brand can be felt in the undulating precious metal of the La Duna collection, which is inspired by the mystique and majesty of the desert. Booth No. 732
Lionheart Jewelry @lionheartjewelry
Back in November 2024, I wrote about the meaningful medallions of Lionheart Jewelry, founded by Joy Haugaard and her sister Sarah. The brand boasts gem-encrusted talismans and ultra-wearable, colourful pieces, including serpents, birds and horses with symbolic meaning. It really excels in the field of styling, demonstrating how its necklaces, pendants and medallions can be layered together in sumptuous combinations of yellow gold, mother of pearl and occasional splashes of coloured stones. It will be fabulous to catch up with the team in Las Vegas and see what’s new for the year ahead. Booth No. 715

Laura Gallon Joaillerie @lauragallonjoaillerie
Born and raised in Paris, jewellery designer Laura Gallon can trace her family lineage to the 1920s, which makes the Art Deco period something of a milestone in her creative output. In 2020, she opted to reawaken a family jewellery business, which had laid dormant since the passing of her great-grandparents, blending traditional French influences with her global travel experiences and more modern sensibilities. The results are romantic, feminine and occasionally unexpected, especially with regard to colour combinations in the Haute Colour collection. Highlights include the blend of aquamarine and Jedi spinel in the Helena earrings and the mix of Akoya pearls, mandarin garnet and diamonds in the Iris earrings. Booth No. DA-40
Laura Gallon Joaillerie Helena earrings with 2.21 carats of Madagascan aquamarines and Burmese ‘Jedi’ spinels in 18k yellow gold
Ohliguer @ohliguer
The boldness of its opening statement on Instagram - The Next Gen of High Jewellery – is what immediately captured my attention when researching the Australian brand Ohliguer. Its aesthetic is provocative, slightly rock ‘n’ roll, and full of personality, which is easy to see in its two core collections, The Croc and The Knot. However, it’s the brand’s backstory that is the most eye-poppingly fantastical, incorporating the last Tsars of Russia, a covert escape plan, European royalty, and, lastly, a final stop in Australia. I am especially looking forward to exploring some of Ohliguer’s engagement rings, which are united by sharp talon claw settings and mixed metal finishes. Booth No. DA-41

Paspaley @paspaleypearls
Paspaley is the last of the original Australian pearling families specialising in both natural and cultured varieties. Last year, we wrote about the latest creations in its Dive and Lavalier collections, which celebrate the process of submerging into the deep and searching for treasures on the ocean floor. More recently, I have been admiring its Clam Shell pendants and its Feather necklaces, both with different interpretations of carved mother of pearl. In Las Vegas, I am hoping to see some of its more elaborate high jewels, such as the Night Bird Feather Pearl collier with cascading Australian South Sea pearls and more than 30 carats of diamonds in 18k white gold. Booth No. 204
Salima Thakker @salimathakker
Antwerp-based fine jewellery designer-maker Salima Thakker is another name that caught my eye on the list of this year’s Couture debutants. She is especially adept at utilising coloured gemstones in contemporary and sculptural settings, especially in chunky cocktail rings and flexible, modular bracelet designs. More recently, I spotted a bespoke Paraiba tourmaline necklace on her Instagram account that showcased the gem’s neon blue hues to perfect effect. However, what really wows me about Salima is that she is among a small but mighty group of women who actually make their own jewels by hand at the bench. Her atelier may have grown, but these practical skills are invaluable for bringing unique and intellectually interesting pieces to life. Booth No. 722
TOKTAM @toktam.jewelry
Dubai-based brand Toktam has been on my radar since 2022, when I wrote about Founder Toktam Shekarriz and her cool approach to fine jewellery. Since then, she has launched the Ashkal collection that draws inspiration from the architecture of Dubai and its iconic skyscrapers like the Burj Khalifa. Among her ‘Masterpieces’ are pieces that are beautifully sculptural, such as the Veil and Majestic Qajar collections, which also incorporate some lovely coloured stones. In terms of cocktail rings, I certainly would not mind adding one of Toktam’s Ophidian Taipan rings to my collection. Inspired by the shape of a rattlesnake coiled in a ball, these rings feature textured gold surrounding a colourful central gem, such as pink tourmaline, aquamarine, orange tourmaline and brilliant-cut diamonds. Booth No. 439
Before I conclude this article, I must stress that these aren’t the only debutants looking to make their mark on Las Vegas. There are more than 30 first-time exhibitors hailing from all over the world, so we wish them luck in attracting new audiences and gathering attention at the event itself. If you are visiting the Couture show in June and see me on the exhibition floor, do say hello and share some of the incredible creations you have seen. After all, this is an invaluable opportunity to discover, feel inspired, and meet the stars of tomorrow.
