Grecian Glamour: The Designers Preparing to Spotlight Greek Style at JCK Las Vegas
Recently, I was approached by the organisers of a special ‘Greek mission’ who are supporting 11 independent designers and brands as they seek to make their mark at JCK Las Vegas from June 6-9, 2025. Greek jewellery has always fascinated me, not least because it is so rooted in history, culture, ancient art, and principles that are so specific to the country and its traditions. Some of the brands included in the Greek Pavillion as part of the Design Collective area of JCK are familiar to me, whereas others are new on my radar and will no doubt have plenty to show me in Nevada. Below, I would like to introduce you to each of the businesses participating in this incredible showcase of Greek design, ingenuity and craftsmanship. I hope it inspires you to seek them out at the event and make some new and valuable connections…
One of the best things about attending a show as vast as JCK Las Vegas is the promise of finding something new. I am often surprised at how many people I come across who only visit the same brands and suppliers year after year without really opening their minds to the possibilities of what may be waiting just around the corner. Hopefully, I can help change this approach with a closer look at a great mix of Greek companies, all of whom are participating in a special initiative with JCK Las Vegas. This project is supported by Enterprise Greece, which has provided unwavering support for Greek designers at the JCK and Luxury events for six consecutive years. Without this kind of cultural outreach, audiences in the United States (and those from further afield) may never have the opportunity to learn about Greek jewellery and craftsmanship. So, without further ado, let me turn the spotlight on the brands taking part in June…
Kouzoupis Jewellery @kouzoupis_sa
Founded in 1947, Kouzoupis Jewellery specialises in handmade 18k pieces set with natural precious gemstones. It has participated in JCK for many years, as well as shows in Basel, Vicenza, New York, Munich and Istanbul, which have helped put its history and mythology-inspired collections on the map. One thing I love about Kouzoupis is its mission to preserve more than 6,000 years of Greek jewellery-making tradition and transmit this to the next generation, of course, with its own creative twist! Today, it is led by the third generation of the Kouzoupis family, who continue to produce eye-catching collections like Periklista, Ethereal and The Olympians. Personally, I have a soft spot for the Aegean Sea Collection with its colourful gem-set sea creatures and the Byzantine-style jewellery in the Imperial collection.

Giampouras Collections @giampourasjewelry
With a background in industrial design and an education in jewellery from London’s Guildhall University, Vasileios Giampouras brings an engineer’s precision and an artist’s soul to Giampouras Collections. He is driven by a desire to “express the unseen”, whether that’s energy, harmony or the “sacred symbolism that lies beneath the surface of our visible world”. There’s a talismanic quality to the brand’s jewellery, especially its rings and earrings that blend colourful gemstones with titanium and 18k gold to great effect. However, what most inspires me about Giampouras Collections is the sentiment behind it – the idea that jewellery has a primal meaning that brings harmony and radiance to our lives. I couldn’t agree more! At JCK 2025, the brand will introduce its new luxury collection, crafted in titanium with 18k gold and gemstones.

Gerochristo Jewelry @gerochristojewelry
There’s something treasure-like about the ancient Greek and Byzantine-inspired creations of Gerochristo Jewelry, which are adorned with diamonds and coloured gemstones. Some of my favourite pieces are set with mineral hues closely linked to the Aegean, like greenish-blue amazonite and blue topaz, although rings with deeper, jewel-toned gems are just as tempting for evening looks. Its signature look blends 18k gold with sterling silver in calligraphic, swirling patterns, perfectly exemplified by the best-selling Eve Eden’s Garden ring with oval-shaped amethysts, rhodolite, peridot and citrine, among others. Plus, its men’s jewellery collection is equally satisfying, especially the Alexander line of bracelets and the Garden Shadows link bracelet that is destined for a luxurious holiday in the sun.

Eros-Psyche @erospsyche_jewels
The art of hand-engraved gemstones – otherwise known as glyptography – is something that always captures my imagination, even though I rarely see it on my global travels. Fortunately, Athens and Houston-based brand Eros-Psyche has seemingly perfected this ancient art while adding its own stamp through custom-made jewellery. The business is guided by the creative pairing of master gem engraver Maria Apostolopoulou and designer Nikos Karakostas, who have been offering pieces in their own inimitable style since 1992. Their creations are inspired by the soul of Greek culture and mythology but have a far greater ambition to protect and preserve the glyptic arts for future generations. Highlights include statement rings adorned with mythical scenes, birds, dolphins, serpents and even dragons, surrounded by intricate golden settings.

Ioannidis Jewellery @ioannidis.est
Ioannidis Jewellery has showcased the best of Greek artistry and craftsmanship for over four generations, blending Byzantine inspirations with contemporary sensibilities throughout its golden collections. The company was founded by Yiannis Ioannidis, whose background in gemmology and marketing has allowed him to create an Athens-based atelier of distinction. Pieces start life as hand-drawn sketches before being meticulously brought to life in 18k gold, 22k gold or sterling silver by master artisans. Highlights include beautiful bracelets inspired by ancient Greek coins, timeless chain link necklaces and cuff bracelets with subtle pops of colour, like turquoise cabochons.

Taloumis @taloumis_
As someone who is obsessed with innovative jewellery-making techniques, I am pleased to see Taloumis on this list of Greek businesses due to exhibit in a few weeks’ time. The company specialises in the production of necklaces, especially Spiral-chains and clasps, specifically its innovative Elastic Spiral, Elastic Omega and Double Clip clasps, which make nuanced fine jewellery production possible. The Elastic Spiral, for example, is a long, flexible and silky textured strand of platinum or gold surrounding a stainless steel core that’s ideal for creating multi-strand necklaces. Although its story started in Germany in the 1970s, Taloumis moved to Greece in 2009 and has been on the rise ever since. Today, it exports to more than 40 countries and will look to increase this at JCK.

Lutèce Jewelry @lutece.jewelry
The team behind Lutèce Jewelry see themselves as “guardians of a rich cultural legacy”, which I think is something quite unifying across all the Greek designers featured in this article. The brand’s mission is to revive the artistry of the past by handcrafting gold jewellery using age-old techniques that have stood the test of time. Its Heritage collection, for example, is designed to create a bridge between the past and the present, the mythological and the modern, using meanders, laurel leaves and the Heracles knot as ageless motifs. Pieces are fashioned in buttery 18k and 22k yellow and white gold and set with a choice of precious gemstones. “To us,” the Lutèce team notes, “all gemstones extracted from the earth are precious”. The brand will also bring live demonstrations to JCK, offering visitors an exclusive opportunity to witness the craftsmanship behind its creations in action.

Maramenos & Pateras @maramenos_pateras
Encapsulating emotions is the order of the day at Maramenos & Pateras, which has been creating fine jewellery in 18k yellow gold since the late 1960s. This is a brand I have interacted with before; I fell in love with the Golden Peony necklace and shared the photo on Instagram, but that was way back in 2018. How wonderful it will be to catch up with the team again in 2025 and discover its new Icarus collection, which is inspired by the ancient Greek myth and symbolizes ambition, the desire to achieve greatness and reach new heights. I am told that pieces are handcrafted in sculptural 18k gold and adorned with white, blue and black diamonds. Today, the brand is spearheaded by a second generation of designers, led by Antonis Pateras, who are dedicated to creating new collections with a “harmonious blend of modern aesthetics while honouring the traditions of Greek goldsmithing”.

Dionysios Fine Jewels @dionysiosfinejewels
Back in April, I took an in-depth look at Dionysios Fine Jewels for an article dedicated to the ancient-meets-modern brand. Its founder and creative director, Dionysios Dionysopoulos, is adept at merging the quintessential gold craftsmanship of Greek tradition with contemporary silhouettes that suit the rushed-off-her-feet city girl. Examples include the cool Kalypso collection, the stackable Zoforosrings, and the slightly edgier Ariadne line, all of which are set with diamonds and coloured gemstones, especially emeralds. Another thing I admire about the brand is its ability to capture the spirit of ancient Greek architecture and decorative motifs into pieces that feel wearable from day to night. We can really see this in the Athena collection with its elegant lines of round brilliant-cut diamonds.

MJM Jewels by Markella @mjm.jewels
Back in the 1990s, master artisan I. Chatzipopis founded a small atelier in Athens with the express purpose of crafting humble, high-quality jewellery. Now, under the leadership of the next generation, the business has evolved into MJM Jewels by Markella – a modern silversmithing studio known for its impeccable craftsmanship and timeless design. The brand specialises in handcrafted silver and gold rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces using carefully selected gemstones that suit a style-conscious customer. What stands out to me is the use of black rhodium-plated sterling silver mixed with yellow gold for a fantastic blend of colours and textures. I can imagine these pieces worn alone for a more subtle daytime look or stacked together for a statement evening event, especially the curvaceous fan-shaped hinged bracelets with three-dimensional bubbles of ruby, emerald and sapphire.

ILIAKIS @diamondjools
Last but certainly not least, Iliakis Lefteris will present his namesake brand ILIAKIS at the Luxury show from June 4-9. Having graduated from IGI Antwerp as a diamond grader, Iliakas has spent the last 15 years building DiamondJools into one of Greece’s most established fine jewellery companies, known for its refined craftsmanship, contemporary bridal lines, and strong retail presence. At JCK, he will debut ILIAKIS’ first signature line — the Nema Collection — inspired by the Greek word νήμα (thread), symbolising movement, connection and continuity. Sculptural and elegant, the pieces are entirely produced in-house in Athens, reflecting a fully integrated process that allows the designer complete creative and technical control. ILIΑKIS stands apart as a design-driven voice within the Greek jewellery scene — one that bridges heritage and contemporary form with clarity and confidence. This new chapter introduces a purer, more personal expression of his design philosophy, aimed at an international audience with a taste for substance and form.

A selection of 18k gold and diamond fine jewellery creations by ILIAKIS, created by Iliakis Lefteris
If you are Las Vegas-bound this June, do spare some time to tour this talented group of Greek designers and brands, all of whom have an incredible story to tell and a rich culture to share. If jewellery is a transmitter of history, memory, emotion and heritage, then JCK Las Vegas is the perfect stage to put all of this on display.
