Moscow-based jewellery brand ICHIEN was founded in 2008. It was named after its founder and chief designer – Ichien (whose name in Chinese means ‘one look’). Putting at brand’s core the principle of creating jewellery for those who are not led by fashion, Ichien creates wearable works of art. While designing new pieces, he is primarily guided by the aesthetics and hidden meaning of jewellery that would bear the name of his brand.
The collections branch out into three main categories: the capsule collections, produced as limited series; high jewellery pieces; and bespoke designs. Taking off from individual haute joaillerie pieces, Ichien often expands them into collections that combine sophisticated design, skilful execution and a rich colour palette. Composed of bright colours that sometimes would seem mismatched, ICHIEN rings, earrings and necklaces stand out among the myriad jewellers thanks to the Ichien’s unorthodox approach to design.
ICHIEN jewellery pieces are designed and handcrafted in Moscow, where the workshop and the design studio are based. The designer also has a showroom where private clients are always welcome to view some exclusive new jewels and commission a piece for themselves.

The jewels from the Butterflies collection are imbued with the same ethereal beauty as the butterflies. Each piece of jewel is composed of several delicate elements ranging from a fine selection of precious gemstones and sophisticated enamel patterns on gold. When combined together, they form a jewel that looks as fine and weightless as the graceful fluttering insects themselves.
Jewellery designers are often inspired by the ornaments and patterns that adorn the temples and buildings of cities around the world. Having lived in Taiwan and India, Ichien became enchanted by the beauty of the local architecture. This lead to the creation of the Fon Long collection of jewels that harmoniously blends the lush silhouette of the Indian Taj Mahal and orderly pattern of scales on Chinese dragons that adorn the walls of Taoist temples.
The Spirit collection includes jewellery pieces that feature the ICHIEN logo. It serves as a reminder to the owner of their soul and its evolution. While creating each piece, craftsmen pay extreme attention to the smallest details on the diamond encrusted and enamelled pieces to ensure that the rings can be worn everyday with as much ease and comfort as possible.
