Schreiner Embodies Happiness: New Buddha-Cut Diamond
An ancient Buddhist wisdom says that if you smile the world changes. We cannot disagree that when we are happy, we perceive everything differently, in a more positive way. Happy people make a happy world – this is the message of Buddha.
To retain the feeling of content, Gerhard Schreiner, the founder of Schreiner High Jewellery from Munich, embodied happiness and contentment in a specially cut diamond – the Buddha-cut. The Buddha himself has had a great significance for Gerhard Schreiner for a long time. On his travels, the designer met many people from different cultural backgrounds, but all of them had inner peace and incredible creativity in common.

New Buddha-Cut Diamond
After being exposed to such great source of inspiration it was only a matter of time for such gemstone and jewellery fanatic as Gerhard Schreiner to start working on incorporating the image of Buddha into his jewellery collections. He designed the first drawings of the unique Buddha-cut diamond and developed them later with his team. The design was recently finalized and presented to the public eye at the Baselworld fair this year.

New Buddha-Cut Diamond
While Buddha is a symbol of joy and positive energy, the Buddha-cut diamonds stand for purity, perfection and eternity. They are the stars of the new Buddha collection consisting of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. The diamond sizes vary from .60cts to 3cts. For those with a particularly exquisite taste, Buddha-cut diamonds up to 15 carats are available on request. Since Buddha lived in tolerance, peace and happiness I believe possessing a piece of jewellery with the Buddha-cut diamond would be a good reminder for us to enjoy our lives, retain our inner balance and smile more.
